February is Rare Disease Month because like rare diseases, February is unique - it is unlike another month of the calendar being both the shortest month and the only month that fluctuates in length. To celebrate this month, from February 1 to February 28, we’re bringing you a cozy indoor, virtual bingo style event that’s perfect for the cold winter days ahead — all while spreading awareness of sarcoidosis and the 10,000 other rare diseases and raising funds for the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research.  

Here’s how it works: 

Our Read for Rare Bingo is just like any other BINGO. You should aim to complete at least five squares on the reading bingo card, which you can generate below and print out. These squares will guide you through a range of reading-related activities, including discovering new authors, reading about rare diseases, and sharing your favorite books and quotes on social media.  For those of you who are really ambitious and avid readers, we challenge you to see if you can complete every challenge in the month!
