Everyone deserves safety. But for far too many refugees, safety is the last thing they find when they arrive in the UK.  

Can you imagine being forced from your home because you are no longer safe there, and making the dangerous journey to Britain? You might be hoping to be reunited with family, or excited to build a new life for yourself somewhere where you already speak the language. After everything you've survived, you deserve support, kindness and respect.  

But instead you are threatened with deportation to Rwanda. Or you are left facing years of waiting to hear back about your asylum claim, banned from working, and living in squalid accommodation and poverty.  

Refugees deserve better than this.  

The UK Government continues to fail refugees on every level. We've seen the refugee crisis in Afghanistan result in thousands of Afghan nationals being housed for months on end in hotels. We've watched as the hideous Anti Refugee Bills threaten the very right to asylum.  And we've been appalled by the Home Offices plans to send people seeking asylum to be proceeded in Rwanda.  

It's been a journey. And now it's time for yours.  

Run, walk, cycle or swim. You decide how you will Race for Refugees. Be a part of the fight for a fairer future for refugees and people seeking safety.  

The money you raise will power our frontline services and fuel our campaigns. At Refugee Action, we've been standing up for refugees since 1981, and our work is needed now more than ever.
