Dogtober is a fun, accessible fundraising challenge taking place throughout October, encouraging people to get outdoors with their dogs while raising vital funds for Pendleside Hospice.

The challenge is simple: participants and their four-legged friends are encouraged to walk 50 miles throughout October and raise money for Pendleside Hospice. The aim is to make fundraising active, social and achievable for everyone, regardless of age, fitness level or walking ability.

Participants can complete their 50 miles however works best for them. This could mean heading out on longer countryside walks, exploring local woodland and trails, hiking in the hills, enjoying weekend adventures or simply adding a few extra miles to their everyday neighbourhood walks. The focus is not on speed or competition, but on getting outside, spending quality time with their dog and making every mile count for Pendleside.

Dogtober is designed to be an inclusive challenge. We recognise that every dog and owner is different, so participants are encouraged to adapt the challenge around their own circumstances, including their dog's age, breed, ability and energy levels.
